Change Is Frustrating For Moderate Daddy
Multiple people who’ve known Moderate Daddy since birth have told me he was born an “old soul”… aka… he thinks and acts like an old man!
Traveling down our street on the way to church last Sunday, Moderate Daddy spotted this moving truck to his left…
Letting out a big sign he proclaimed…
Being the hipper one in our marriage, I continued on with my lesson in “todays” symbols.
With a quick, raised voice, he let his old man his “old soul” issue be known to the world…
I love my old man!!
Are you the old or hip one in your relationship? Please tell me some stories!
It’s Been a (hip) Pleasure,
Your Moderate Mama
My husband and I are both, ahem, old souls, but he is definitely more up on modern technology and all it’s charms than I am. Yesterday I did refer to the pound sign as the number sign. What do you think?

It could be worse… one might call it the tic-tac-toe sign!

Ha! I’m the optimist. I’d play with a rattlesnake if it didn’t bite me too many times.

Too funny! Scarily enough, I am the hip one in our relationship. Which I suppose isn’t saying much…

Oops, I forgot to include an example. Messaging acronyms are one thing that comes to mind. I recently learned my husband thought LOL stood for Lots of Love. Oh well, at least his heart is in the right place!

The misused acronyms are some of my favorite Ellen Clumsy Thumbsys (spelling? )

Gahaha! I like to think I am the hip one… but he is the one with the job that pays! He is well up on anything computer, but as for social media? Not so much. Plus, being an “old soul” himself, he cannot for the life of him understand why I must tell the whole world anything at all about me, us, our life, England, America, chickens, fish, sunsets, grandkids, etc. I’m sure you get the picture. Honestly. He is SO Mike Heck from the Middle. But I love my old man too… Oh – side note – a friend of mine who is NOT “social media” hip recently read a listing of computer languages, in which he referred to C# (aka C-sharp) as C- hashtag… Hmmm. Hubby and I were busting out laughing, but the other 50 people in the room (also not “hip”) did not get it. Like, at all… So, HH is old, but not TOO old, I guess! 🙂 LOL (lots of love works for me!)

That’s so funny! I would say I’m more the hip one but I’m physically older and Mr. Gibber does not let me live it down.
